LOS ANGELES — Apple TV has officially released the trailer for Season 4 of its Emmy-winning hit comedy series Ted Lasso, locking in a global premiere date for Wednesday, August 5, 2026. The upcoming 10-episode installment will roll out weekly every Wednesday, concluding its run on October 7. Following the emotional Season 3 finale where Ted returned home to Kansas, the new season tracks his journey back across the pond for an entirely new challenge. Moving away from his historic tenure with the AFC Richmond men’s senior squad, Lasso takes the reins of a second-division women’s football team known as the Lady Greyhounds. Apple’s official synopsis promises a narrative centered around taking uncertain leaps of faith as Ted works to build synergy and trust with his new roster.
The returning production retains its powerhouse creative core and beloved ensemble cast, led by Jason Sudeikis alongside Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift. Expanding the Richmond universe, the show has added a fresh crop of talent to the lineup, including Tanya Reynolds, Faye Marsay, and Grant Feely. Behind the scenes, executive producer Jack Burditt joins forces with seasoned showrunners and writers Brendan Hunt, Brett Goldstein, and Joe Kelly to steer the character-driven narrative into uncharted territory. Fans looking to catch up on the previous story arcs can stream Seasons 1 through 3 exclusively on Apple TV ahead of the new season’s launch.
