Karachi (June 27):
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in Karachi and various parts of Sindh over the next 24 hours.
According to the Met Office, rain is likely in Karachi, Hyderabad, Dadu, Badin, Ghotki, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Khairpur, Sukkur, Larkana, Qambar Shahdadkot, and Shaheed Benazirabad along with surrounding areas.
The department has also warned that heavy downpours may occur at certain locations, which could lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas.Authorities have advised citizens to take precautionary measures during rain and strong winds to avoid any untoward incidents.
It’s worth mentioning that Karachi has been experiencing a rise in temperatures this week, but the expected rain is likely to bring some much-needed relief and pleasant change in the weather.
