According to local police, a kidnapping FIR had already been registered by the grieving family. Initial forensic findings suggest the victim, who operated a shop in Bahadurabad, was brought to the desolate location, shot dead, and subsequently doused with acid in a ruthless attempt by the perpetrators to destroy his identity. Meanwhile, in a separate alarming incident in Lahore, a doctor identified as Dr Ahmad Latif was discovered dead inside his vehicle parked within the premises of the Children’s Hospital. Dr Latif, affiliated with the hospital’s haematology department, had reportedly remained dead in his car for four days before being noticed, during which certain pharmaceutical drugs were recovered near his remains.
