Lahore: Police have identified human remains discovered a few days ago in the Kahna area, revealing disturbing details during the investigation.
According to police sources, the skeletal remains found in the Audit and Accounts Society belonged to a woman named Margret. Investigators allege that her two sons, Shafiq James and Nabeel James, strangled her to death before dumping the body.
A short distance from the body, police recovered a buried shopping bag containing some cash and electricity bills. Using the information from the bills, the investigation team contacted the relevant SDO, which led them to the victim’s residence, where they learned she had been missing.
During questioning, both sons allegedly confessed to killing their mother after she refused to give them money. Police say the suspects, both addicted to crystal meth (ice), placed the body in a rickshaw and dumped it near agricultural fields. The victim, who worked in people’s homes, had reportedly saved Rs50,000.
