Two Suspects Injured in Karachi Police Encounter; One Linked to Noha Khwan’s Murder

Karachi: Sachal police arrested two suspects in an injured condition following an alleged encounter in Saadi Town late Sunday night, recovering firearms and stolen property. One of the suspects is accused of involvement in the murder of renowned elegy reciter (noha khwan) Syed Hasnain Haider Naqvi.

According to a police spokesperson, the injured suspects were identified as 20-year-old Rahimullah, son of Ameen, and 20-year-old Sher Afzal, son of Usman. Two pistols with ammunition and snatched valuables were seized from their possession. Both were shifted to Jinnah Hospital via Chhipa ambulance for medical treatment.

Sachal SHO Inspector Ameen Khoso stated that Rahimullah was wanted in connection with the killing of Syed Hasnain Haider Naqvi on July 14, 2023, in the jurisdiction of Sachal police station. The victim was shot dead near PCSIR Laboratory, Mohammad Khan Goth, Scheme 33, while travelling in his Alto car with his student.

According to the FIR lodged by the victim’s brother, Syed Muzzamil Haider Naqvi, two motorcycles carrying four armed men intercepted the car and opened fire, fatally wounding Hasnain Haider Naqvi, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and body
