A U.S. official, speaking to American News Agency on the condition of anonymity, has confirmed that B-2 stealth bombers were involved in the airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities announced by President Donald Trump on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, American News Agency had reported the movement of U.S. Air Force B-2 Spirit bombers, which are capable of carrying bunker-busting bombs — weapons specifically designed to destroy fortified underground targets like Iran’s Fordo and Natanz enrichment sites.
Experts suggest that the use of B-2 bombers, among the most advanced in the U.S. arsenal, indicates a strategic precision strike operation, aimed at minimizing civilian casualties while targeting high-value military infrastructure.
The Pentagon has not yet issued an official public statement regarding the strike details or the aircraft used.
