Islamabad, Oct 12, 2025: Confusion surrounds the reopening of schools and colleges in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore as authorities have yet to announce whether classes will resume on Monday, October 13, amid ongoing protests by a religious political party.
The protests, marked by road blockages and sit-ins, have disrupted transportation and communication networks, raising security concerns in the three major cities.
Officials had earlier ordered the temporary closure of educational institutions ahead of the planned long march toward Islamabad, citing safety reasons.
Meanwhile, private school associations declared Saturday a holiday, extending the uncertainty over when normal academic activities will resume.
