An important meeting was held in Geneva between Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal and representatives of the World Bank, during which detailed discussions took place regarding ongoing reforms, future plans, and mutual cooperation in Pakistan’s health sector.
According to the spokesperson for the Health Ministry, the federal minister briefed the participants on the government’s initiatives in the healthcare sector, reform programs, and its vision for providing better medical facilities to the public.
World Bank representatives praised Pakistan’s National Health Support Program and stated that the institution is fully aligned with Pakistan’s health policies and future vision.
During the meeting, the local production of vaccines in Pakistan was also described as an important development. The World Bank assured continued technical and financial cooperation in this sector and said that every possible support would be provided to increase vaccine production in Pakistan.
In addition, both sides agreed to enhance cooperation for making the primary healthcare system more effective and for promoting telemedicine services.
Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal appreciated the World Bank’s continued support in the health sector and said that the government is committed to providing quality healthcare facilities to the public through collaboration with international organizations.
