The World Day for the Prevention of Epidemics is being observed across the globe today.

‎The purpose of the World Day for the Prevention of Epidemics is to promote preparedness, awareness, and international cooperation to prevent possible future outbreaks.

‎On this occasion, a renewed commitment is made to strengthen health systems, improve research and surveillance mechanisms, and enhance cooperation among countries to effectively combat epidemics and safeguard human lives.

‎In recent years, the world has faced several epidemics, including COVID-19, influenza, and the Congo virus. Epidemics often prove more deadly in underdeveloped countries, where health and nutrition facilities are already inadequate.
