‎53 Children Reportedly Die from Measles in Sindh This Year

Reports have emerged that 53 children have died from measles in Sindh this year.

‎According to Health Department statistics, 102 deaths from the disease have been reported across various districts of the country during the first 26 weeks of 2026.

‎The data showed that 7,105 suspected measles cases were reported in Sindh, of which 2,280 cases were confirmed through laboratory testing.

‎Across the country, 29,066 suspected measles cases were reported, while 8,309 cases were confirmed by laboratory tests.

‎Meanwhile, health experts have expressed concern over the increasing spread of measles, stating that timely vaccination, effective surveillance, and emergency preventive measures are essential to control the disease; otherwise, the situation could become more serious.
