Jhelum (August 26, 2025):
Police in Jhelum have arrested renowned religious scholar and YouTuber Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (3MPO). Acting on the orders of the Deputy Commissioner, authorities shifted Mirza to jail for 30 days, while his academy in Jhelum has also been sealed to prevent gatherings and related activities.
According to reports, the move came after religious groups filed complaints and delegations of clerics met district officials, demanding his arrest. The local administration maintains that the decision was taken to preserve law and order in the city.
This is not the first time Mirza has faced legal action. Back in May 2020, he was arrested on allegations of spreading sectarian views but was later released on bail just two days later.
