KARACHI: Police have declared Armaghan, the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case, guilty in separate cases of police encounter and illegal weapons. A charge sheet has been submitted to the Anti-Terrorism Court.

During the hearing, the investigation officer told the court that on February 8, police, with a judicial magistrate’s approval, raided a bungalow in Khayaban-e-Momin to recover the kidnapped Mustafa Amir.

When the suspects refused to open the gate, police rammed it with a mobile van and entered. Armaghan, positioned on the rooftop, opened indiscriminate fire, injuring DSP Ahsan Zulfiqar and a constable.

According to the charge sheet, the firing continued for some time until police surrounded the area and arrested Armaghan. Weapons recovered from him had no official record, as confirmed by the Sindh Home Department.

The investigation officer stated that charges of police encounter and attempted murder have been proven against Armaghan, and the case was registered at the AVCC police station.
