LAHORE — A major theft involving house staff was reported in Lahore’s upscale Garden Town locality on Wednesday, where three housemaids and their four alleged accomplices made off with approximately Rs25.6 million, according to police sources.

The incident occurred while the homeowner, Talha Najam, and his family were away on a trip. Upon their return, they discovered the substantial loss and immediately alerted authorities.

The suspects named in the FIR include housemaids identified as Syed Ahmed, Karar Ahmed, and Saif. The identities of the remaining four accomplices are yet to be determined.

Police have registered a case based on the complaint filed by the homeowner and launched a formal investigation into the matter. Efforts are underway to trace the suspects and recover the stolen assets.
