LAKKI MARWAT — Two police officers were martyred on Wednesday in a targeted firing incident by unidentified assailants in the Machan Khel Adda area of Lakki Marwat, police officials confirmed.
According to the police spokesperson, the officers were en route to their duty station from Bego Khel village when they came under fire. Both personnel sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot.
The attackers fled the scene immediately after the assault. Authorities later shifted the bodies to the city hospital for medico-legal formalities.
