Bollywood’s iconic “Don” franchise is gearing up for its most ambitious chapter yet, as reports reveal that Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan have been approached to appear alongside Ranveer Singh in Don 3.
Industry insiders suggest that if the talks materialize, the film could unite three generations of actors who have each carried the legendary “Don” legacy — Bachchan in the 1978 original, Shah Rukh Khan in the 2006 and 2011 remakes, and now Singh in the upcoming third installment.
Directed by Farhan Akhtar, Don 3 already sparked buzz last year when Singh was officially announced as the new face of the franchise. The potential addition of Bachchan and Khan is being hailed as a historic cinematic moment that could deliver a powerful crossover never before seen in Bollywood.
While neither Bachchan nor Khan has officially confirmed their participation, sources close to the project hint that Khan may appear in a pivotal cameo, while Bachchan is being considered for a major role that ties the storylines of the franchise together.
The film has also seen changes in its casting. Kiara Advani reportedly stepped away due to personal reasons, with names like Sharvari and Kriti Sanon now under discussion for the female lead. Similarly, after Vikrant Massey’s exit from the project, Vijay Deverakonda and Karan Veer Mehra are said to be in the running for the antagonist’s role.
With filming expected to begin later this year, Don 3 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases in recent Bollywood history. If the casting comes through, audiences will witness the unprecedented sight of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Ranveer Singh sharing the screen under the same banner.
