Rawalpindi: A UK-returned man, along with his accomplices, allegedly subjected a woman to gang rape in the jurisdiction of the Rawat Police Station. Police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim and initiated efforts to arrest the suspects.
According to the FIR, the woman stated that she had been working at the house of the accused, Saleem Akhtar, along with her mother for the past one and a half years. She claimed that the primary suspect had raped her a year ago. On November 20, the man allegedly took her along in his vehicle under the pretext of shopping and assaulted her at a private farmhouse located in a housing society.
The victim further revealed that after the initial assault by Shahid Saleem, his accomplices—identified as Rizwan and another unknown suspect—also raped her.
Police confirmed that the woman has undergone a medical examination, after which a formal case was lodged. Law enforcement officials say that raids are underway to arrest the nominated suspects.
