KARACHI – The Federal Investigation Agency’s Composite Circle in Gwadar conducted a series of targeted raids, resulting in the arrest of 14 individuals involved in illegal border crossings. Among those detained were several Pakistani nationals and at least one Iranian citizen.
According to FIA officials, nine suspects attempted to exit Pakistan via the sea route to Iran, with plans to illegally travel onward to other countries. The detainees hail from various regions including Gujranwala (3), Mandi Bahauddin (3), Sanghar (4), and Sheikhupura (3).
The arrests were made in the coastal town of Jiwani. Additionally, five individuals, including an Iranian national, were apprehended for illegally entering Pakistan through the PB-250 Gabad land route.
Cases have been registered against all suspects, and investigations are currently underway to determine the full scope of the network involved in cross-border human trafficking.
