ISLAMABAD: PTI founder Imran Khan has called on his party’s lawmakers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to resist ongoing military operations and drone strikes in the province, urging a shift toward peace and dialogue instead of force.
In a series of posts shared from his X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday reportedly based on a conversation with his sisters during a jail visit Imran warned that such actions only escalate terrorism. He likened the current situation to the ANP’s past decline in popularity due to its support for similar military actions.
He also condemned the forced expulsion of Afghan refugees, stating that such measures will further destabilize the region.
Khan, who remains imprisoned in Adiala Jail, also criticized alleged political victimization of his family, including his wife Bushra Bibi and sister Aleema Khan, and denounced what he termed “sham trials” aimed at taking away PTI parliamentary seats.
Marking Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s death anniversary, Imran reaffirmed PTI’s commitment to democratic struggle and constitutional rights.
