KARACHI: The Department of Physiology at Liaquat College of Medicine and Dentistry (LCMD) recently organized an engaging poster competition on respiratory physiology. The event provided MBBS students with a vibrant platform to demonstrate their creativity, understanding, and application of core physiological concepts in clinical settings.

The competition featured beautifully designed posters that blended scientific knowledge with real-world clinical relevance. Students showcased their ability to translate theoretical learning into visual expressions of medical science, highlighting LCMD’s commitment to innovative, experiential learning.

The judging panel comprised distinguished academicians, including Prof. Dr. Syed Tousif Ahmed, Vice President, Pakistan Physiological Society (PPS), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ather, from the Department of Community Medicine, LCMD, and Prof. Dr. Erum Imran, Head of the Department of Physiology at FRPMC. Their expert evaluation, feedback, and words of encouragement added immense value to the academic event.

Special acknowledgment was extended to the organizing team, particularly Dr. Maliha Shameem and Dr. Hina Taimur Qureshi, for their tireless efforts and dedication in planning and executing the event under the supervision of Dr. Perwaiz Sandila, Head of the Department of Physiology.

The event concluded with congratulations to all winners and participants, who were praised for their outstanding presentations and enthusiasm in learning through creativity.

The poster competition on respiratory physiology stands as a reflection of LCMD’s continued dedication to excellence in medical education, fostering analytical thinking, teamwork, and scientific curiosity among future doctors.
