Pakistan, US Vow to Deepen Cooperation in Technology, Education, and Development

ISLAMABAD – Acting US Ambassador to Pakistan Natalie Baker met Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbalin Islamabad on Thursday, where both sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in diverse sectors.

During the meeting, Minister Ahsan Iqbal emphasized that Pakistan and the United States have vast opportunities to expand collaboration in areas such as technology, agriculture, minerals, education, and research. He noted that the two nations share a long-standing partnership that continues to evolve with the changing global landscape.

Highlighting education and scientific cooperation as a key pillar of Pakistan–US relations, Iqbal said that both countries are now shaping a new partnership based on knowledge, innovation, and sustainable development.

He stressed that joint efforts to build human capital and enhance research linkages would help unlock the full potential of both societies. The minister also underlined the importance of reviving the Pakistan–US Knowledge Corridor, which would enable more Pakistani students and researchers to pursue advanced education and research opportunitiesat top universities in the United States.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to broadening cooperation and working closely to promote mutual progress through education, technology, and innovation-driven initiatives.
