KARACHI – Incidents of motorcycle snatching continue unabated in the city, as yet another citizen was deprived of his two-wheeler right outside his home in North Karachi’s Sector 5-C/4 area.
CCTV footage of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows the victim, identified as Asif, arriving at his house on a Honda 125 motorcycle when two armed men on another bike intercepted him. At gunpoint, the robbers forced him to hand over his motorcycle within seconds before fleeing the scene.
At the time of the robbery, Asif was accompanied by his two young sons — one seated on the fuel tank and the other on the rear seat. The brazen act, committed in mere moments, has once again raised questions about the performance of the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) and local police.
The incident took place on the night of October 23, and a case has been registered at Khawaja Ajmeer Nagri Police Station. The stolen bike is a 2020 model Honda 125.
