LAHORE – Six suspects were killed in four separate alleged encounters with the Counter Crime Department (CCD) Police in different areas of Lahore, including Nishter Colony, Green Town, Harbanspura, and near the Ring Road.
According to police sources, all six suspects were involved in serious criminal activities. During an operation in Green Town, a CCD team took a detainee, identified as Ali Asad, for identification when his accomplices opened fire on the police party. In the crossfire, Ali Asad was critically injured by his own accomplices’ bullets and later died while being shifted to the hospital.
In another incident near Nishter Colony, CCD Model Town personnel signaled two suspicious motorcyclists to stop. The suspects opened fire on the police, prompting retaliation. Both suspects—identified as Wali Dad and Mohsin—were killed on the spot, while four of their accomplices managed to escape.
Similarly, CCD Civil Lines officials engaged armed robbers on Ring Road who were allegedly looting citizens. Upon seeing the police, the robbers opened fire, leading to an exchange in which two suspects, identified as Qaiser alias DC and Raza, were shot dead, while two others fled.
A separate encounter took place near Harbanspura Railway Crossing, where suspect Anas was injured during the crossfire and later succumbed to his wounds at the hospital.
Police confirmed that all deceased suspects were wanted in multiple serious cases across various police stations. The bodies have been shifted to the morgue for postmortem, while search operations are ongoing to apprehend the fugitives.
