Lahore Reports Second Monkeypox Case

LAHORE – The alarm bells have rung as Lahore has reported its second case of monkeypox.

According to reports, a 45-year-old man named Bilal from Narang Mandi, who was admitted to Mayo Hospital six days ago after developing a high fever and skin rashes, has tested positive for the virus.

Confirmation came today from a private laboratory.

Earlier, another patient was already under treatment for monkeypox at Lahore General Hospital.

The Specialized Healthcare Department has established a Center of Excellence for monkeypox patients at General Hospital. With two confirmed cases now in the city, health authorities have raised concerns and heightened vigilance.
