Babusar Top and Naran–Jhalkhad route closed due to heavy snowfall; police advise travelers to use Silk Road hun
(Mansehra) — Extreme cold and heavy snowfall have rendered the Babusar Top and Naran–Jhalkhad route unsafe for all kinds of traffic. For public safety, Mansehra Police have temporarily withdrawn check posts from the area and advised travelers to use the alternate Karakoram (Silk Road) route instead.
According to police officials, the road from Naran up to Barwai remains open, while the stretch leading toward Babusar Top has been completely closed. Authorities have urged people to avoid unnecessary travel and check the latest weather and road updates before planning their journeys.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has reported that temperatures in the region have dropped below freezing, with further snowfall expected in the coming days. In response, local authorities have initiated precautionary measures to ensure public safety.
Tourists heading to scenic areas are advised to remain within safe zones and follow the instructions of police and local administration to prevent any untoward incidents.
