Toba Tek Singh: A woman was allegedly killed by her husband during a domestic dispute in the Rajana area, police said on Monday.
According to law enforcement officials, the suspect, identified as Ali Waris, attacked his wife, Mumtaz Bibi, with an axe, killing her on the spot. The accused fled immediately after the incident.
The Crime Scene Unit collected forensic evidence, while the body was shifted to the Rural Health Centre for postmortem examination.
DSP Sadar Circle and the SHO of Rajana reached the crime scene and reviewed the situation. The DPO Toba Tek Singh has taken notice of the incident and directed police teams to arrest the suspect without delay.
