The FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Lahore has arrested two wanted suspects from Sheikhupura and Sialkot for their alleged involvement in human smuggling and visa fraud.
According to officials, the detained individuals — identified as Shahid Umar and Sheikh Muhammad Khurram — were among the most wanted suspects in multiple fraud cases. They are accused of deceiving citizens by promising employment opportunities in Australia and Saudi Arabia and collecting a total of Rs2.22 million from them.
Authorities said the suspects failed to send the victims abroad and subsequently went into hiding. Khurram was wanted in two separate cases registered with FIA Lahore Zone.
The FIA spokesperson stated that both suspects have been taken into custody and formal investigation has begun.
