‎Federal Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal, while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Measles and Rubella vaccination campaign, said that support from international organizations brings ease to the government, and we are grateful for their cooperation.

‎He said that Pakistan is among the countries with the largest populations, and children’s lives are endangered due to diseases. Through vaccination, we can save their lives.

‎He stated that measles and rubella can cause blindness and brain paralysis in children. Parents must vaccinate their children. A vaccine to prevent cancer has been discovered in the world.

‎In the next 10 years, no person in the world will die from any type of cancer, but in Pakistan, even with the availability of the vaccine, people will still be dying of cancer. In Pakistan, questions will be raised about whether the cancer vaccine is halal or haram, or whether it is a Jewish conspiracy.

‎He said that 55 vaccines are administered worldwide, while Pakistan offers only 13 vaccines. It will take time to introduce more vaccines. The Measles and Rubella vaccine has been thoroughly researched globally, and it is safe.

‎The measles vaccine is available free of cost in every neighborhood. Community members should also cooperate with vaccination teams. Saving someone from disease is a good deed, and if someone dies from a disease that could have been prevented, then it is negligence in our duty.

‎He added that despite having government resources, we are unable to treat patients in hospitals. Hospital crowds are increasing, and it takes hours to get a doctor’s turn. We must encourage people to adopt preventive measures and healthy lifestyles to remain protected from diseases.
