The first semi-final of the Asia Cup Rising Stars turned into an absolute spectacle in Doha as Bangladesh A edged India A in a dramatic Super Over after both teams finished with identical scores of 194/6 in their 20 overs. The match showcased top-tier striking from both sides, but it was Bangladesh who held their nerve when the stakes were highest.

Batting first, Bangladesh A posted 194/6, powered by explosive middle-order hitting. India A responded aggressively with Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashing 38 off just 15 balls, Priyansh Arya contributing a fiery 44 off 23, and captain-wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma adding 33 off 23. Nehal Wadhera remained unbeaten on 32, but despite India’s consistent hitting, the match ended in a tie.

In the Super Over, Bangladesh A executed flawlessly — both with the bat and ball — putting up a competitive total and then restricting India A to seal a hard-fought victory and a place in the tournament final. India A’s strong batting display throughout the chase went in vain as Bangladesh showed superior composure in the pressure moments.

Bangladesh A now move into the final with outstanding momentum, while India A bow out after a heartbreaking finish.
