10-Year-Old Visually Impaired Pakistani Boy Wins International Quran Recitation Competition

Karachi: Muhammad Abu Bakr, a 10-year-old visually impaired boy from Karachi, has secured first place in an international Quran recitation competition held in Jakarta, Indonesia, under Rabita Alam Islami’s “Tahfeez and Qira’at” program.

Abu Bakr, a student of Madrassa Dar Al-Islah Lil Tahfeez Wal Tajweed, impressed the judges with his clear and beautiful recitation, outperforming participants from several Islamic countries.

His father, who works as a mosque caretaker, and his teacher, Qari Islahullah Sadiq, called his achievement a proud moment for the entire nation.

This accomplishment demonstrates that strong will and dedication can overcome any challenge.
