Two young men were injured after being hit by stray bullets in separate incidents across Karachi, police said on Sunday.
According to details, an incident occurred near Coast Guard Chowrangi in the jurisdiction of Zaman Town police station, where a man was injured by a stray bullet outside a wedding hall. The injured person was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where he was identified as 30-year-old Aamir, son of Umar.
Police stated that aerial firing was allegedly taking place during a wedding ceremony when the bullet struck the victim. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
In a separate incident in Soldier Bazaar No. 1, another man was injured after being hit by a bullet fired from an unknown direction. The injured was identified as 25-year-old Zafarullah, son of Muhammad Naeem, and was immediately shifted to Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
A spokesperson for Karachi Police said that preliminary findings suggest both incidents appear to be the result of stray bullet firing. However, investigations are ongoing to ascertain further details.
