Drug Testing Laboratories Punjab has issued orders to immediately stop the sale of specific batches of two different medicines and return them to the company.
In an alert issued by the department, it has been stated that the following batches of medicines, along with their details, must be recalled. If dealers, wholesalers, or retailers have these product batches in their possession, they must return them immediately.
Drug Testing Laboratories Punjab has declared the products listed below as substandard and adulterated medicines, while the Provincial Quality Control Board has issued recall orders for these products.
The department has also instructed the public to immediately stop using such medicines, as they can prove extremely dangerous to health.
The details of the two medicines declared unfit for sale by Drug Testing Laboratories Punjab are as follows.
1. Injection Neudex 1 mL
Dexamethasone sodium phosphate equivalent to Dexamethasone phosphate 4 mg/mL

2. Infusion Zolash 1000 mL
Ringer Lactate
Batch No: 259221
All field formations in Punjab have been directed to further strengthen the monitoring system in accordance with their legal responsibilities under the Drug Act 1976 and Punjab Drug Rules 2007 to ensure the recall of substandard medicines from the market.
The Chief Drug Controller Punjab has been instructed to prepare a comprehensive report regarding these products and submit it to the relevant authorities.
Meanwhile, in view of the current weather conditions, health experts have advised citizens to adopt precautionary measures, stating that people suffering from flu and cold should avoid shaking hands.
They said that maintaining a proper distance from others in such situations is very important and the use of masks should also be ensured.
Experts further advised citizens to consume a healthy diet to boost immunity in order to prevent illnesses.
