A fatal shooting incident was reported within the jurisdiction of Chohang Police Station in Lahore.
According to police officials, a former Excise Department employee was shot dead by unidentified assailants. The victim died on the spot as a result of gunshot injuries.
Police reached the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident. The deceased was later identified as Rana Aftab Ahmed.
Initial investigations revealed that the victim had just stepped out of his house located in a private housing society when two motorcycle-riding suspects approached and opened fire before fleeing the scene.
Police have launched an investigation, and efforts are underway to trace the suspects.
