Federal Minister for Health Mustafa Kamal visited Indonesia, where an agreement was reached on cooperation in the medical sector.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Health Minister Mustafa Kamal arrived in Jakarta, where Pakistan’s Ambassador to Indonesia received him. During the visit, Health Minister Mustafa Kamal also met with the President Director of the renowned vaccine manufacturing company Bio Farma, Shadiq Akasya.
During the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on promoting cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia in the field of vaccine production.
Health Minister Mustafa Kamal emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Indonesia in the field of vaccine manufacturing and highlighted the significance of self reliance in local vaccine production.
It was also agreed to enhance capacity building and technology transfer between Bio Farma and the National Institute of Health Pakistan.
Mustafa Kamal stated that Pakistan wants to benefit from Indonesia’s experience in the field of vaccine production and seeks close and practical cooperation with Indonesia to establish its own vaccine production facility in Pakistan.
