Karachi: Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), acting on intelligence-based information, conducted targeted operations in various areas of Karachi including Old Golimar, Pak Colony and Nazimabad, resulting in the arrest of nine suspected members of the Kashif Dada and Riyasat Jattgal gangs.
The arrested suspects were identified as Arsalan alias Mithu, Liaquat Ali alias Commando, Aashir, Aishan Safdar alias Shano, Rizwan alias Tendo, Muhammad Ahmed, Nauman, Nadeem and Sajjad.
During the operations, Rangers recovered four pistols along with ammunition, 363 crystal drug tokens, 8.35 kilograms of charas, 25 ice drug tokens, 48 bottles of liquor, 150 kilograms of gutka, 1,490 packets of mawa, 18 mobile phones and cash amounting to Rs 4,137,400.
According to Rangers officials, the arrested individuals are part of organized criminal networks involved in armed robberies, drug peddling, snatching of motorcycles and mobile phones in various parts of Karachi.
The suspects are habitual offenders and are wanted in multiple cases registered at different police stations across the city. Efforts are underway to arrest their remaining accomplices.
The arrested suspects, along with recovered weapons, ammunition and illegal items, have been handed over to police for further legal proceedings.
