The University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom has introduced an advanced AI collar device for stroke patients that can convert throat signals into natural and fluent speech.

‎According to research, the AI device, called ReVoice, is worn around the patient’s neck and captures speech-related signals along with signals from the heartbeat. These signals are then decoded using artificial intelligence, allowing words to be transformed into clear and fluent sentences.

‎The study results showed that the device achieved nearly 96 percent accuracy in word recognition and 97 percent accuracy in sentence recognition, marking a significant milestone for patients suffering from stroke or other neurological conditions.

‎The device can also recognize unspoken words and emotions expressed by the patient and convert them into sentences, enabling patients to participate in everyday conversations with confidence.

‎Scientists said that this technology will not only be beneficial for stroke patients but could also be useful in the future for Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders.

‎The ReVoice device is not only simple and comfortable but also suitable for daily use, offering patients an opportunity to rejoin their social and professional lives more effectively.
