How to Prevent Stroke and Heart Attack?

Useful advice is being given on how to remove accumulated fat in arteries to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack.

‎When fatty foods are consumed for a long time, fat starts depositing on artery walls, which narrows them and increases the risk of stroke or heart attack. This accumulated fat does not disappear overnight, but with a correct lifestyle, it can be reduced and further buildup can be prevented.

‎The first and most important step is to change the diet. Fried foods, ghee, banaspati, and fast food should be minimized or completely avoided. Vegetables, fruits, lentils, and whole grains are excellent options. Fish, flaxseeds, and walnuts should be eaten more because they contain omega-3, which helps remove fat from arteries. Similarly, garlic (one to two cloves daily) should be consumed and olive oil should be used, while sugar and white flour should be limited or avoided.

‎Fiber plays a major role in reducing fat in arteries. Regular exercise should be made part of daily routine, such as 30 to 45 minutes of brisk walking every day. Cycling and swimming are also beneficial. Exercise increases HDL, which helps keep arteries clean. Turmeric, black pepper, and green tea should be consumed. Sweet intake should be reduced and salt taken in moderate amounts, as these also help in reducing fat buildup.
