The number of patients has increased at the HIV Center of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences PIMS Hospital Islamabad.

‎According to documents from the HIV Center PIMS, the highest number of cases was reported last month with 36, while 34 cases were reported in January.

‎The documents state that 11 new cases have been reported in the first 20 days of the current month, with male patients outnumbering females, and transgender cases have also been reported.

‎On the other hand, the Federal Ministry of Health has denied reports of an increase in HIV cases.

‎In a clarification statement, it was said that reports combined HIV cases of 15 months to create sensationalism, and the HIV situation in Islamabad is completely under control.

‎According to HIV Center PIMS documents, 189 individuals have been registered as HIV positive since October 2025.
