Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Pakistan following a visit to Oman and is expected to depart for Moscow after a brief stay, according to a diplomatic source.

The visit comes amid ongoing regional consultations, with Araghchi’s stop in Islamabad seen as part of a broader diplomatic effort to strengthen coordination with key regional partners.

While details of his engagements in Pakistan were not immediately disclosed, officials indicated that discussions are likely to focus on bilateral relations, regional security, and economic cooperation, including border management and trade.

Araghchi’s earlier visit to Oman is believed to have involved talks on regional stability and diplomatic channels, particularly in the context of evolving Middle East dynamics.

Following his engagements in Pakistan, the Iranian foreign minister is scheduled to travel to Russia, where he is expected to hold meetings with senior officials in Moscow.

Analysts say the sequence of visits highlights Iran’s ongoing efforts to deepen diplomatic ties and align positions with regional and global partners on key geopolitical issues.

No official statement has yet been issued by Pakistan’s Foreign Office regarding the visit.
