The Balochistan Health Department has suspended 23 doctors for violating rules and regulations and participating in a strike, while show cause notices have been issued to 25 officers for breaching departmental discipline.

‎Adviser to the Chief Minister of Balochistan on Information, Shahid Rind, said that strikes and the suspension of services in health institutions are illegal and that no action against the public interest will be tolerated.

‎He said that the registration of five trainee doctors enrolled in the postgraduate program has been suspended and inquiries have been initiated against them. According to him, all government healthcare institutions in Balochistan will remain open, and legal as well as departmental action will be taken against employees who remain absent.

‎Shahid Rind further stated that a special committee has been established to review the security situation in health institutions. The committee will include provincial officials, senior doctors, representatives of the Health Department, and security agencies.

‎He said that the health sector is directly linked to human lives; therefore, any disruption in public healthcare services is unacceptable. However, measures will be taken to address the legitimate concerns of doctors, but there will be no compromise on the law and service rules.
