Senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan, Syed Mustafa Kamal, has announced the formation of the Muttahida Health Care Committee and has appointed Dr. Naeem Qaim Khani as the in charge of the committee.
On the occasion, Mustafa Kamal said that the Muttahida Health Care Committee will work to prevent Pakistanis from becoming patients, adding that healthcare in the world does not merely mean staying alive.
He said that Pakistan currently has a sick-care system rather than a healthcare system. According to him, 68 percent of diseases are caused by the use of contaminated water, and healthcare begins outside hospitals.
Mustafa Kamal further stated that Pakistan’s population is increasing by 6.2 million people every year. He said that if even 2 percent of the 6.2 million people born annually become ill, Pakistan’s healthcare system will not be able to bear the burden.
It is worth mentioning that the Muttahida Health Care Committee includes Dr. Afzal Ahmed, Fareeduddin, Adnan, Abrar Ahmed, Anthony Samuel, Tahseen, Kashif Balam, and Moiz Khan.
