The measles outbreak is spreading rapidly across Sindh, with more than 2,000 children affected by the disease in the province this year, while 53 children have lost their lives.

‎According to the report, the spread of measles in Sindh has raised concerns among health experts, who stress that the timely administration of vaccines is essential for preventing the disease.

‎Pediatric specialist Dr. Khalid Shafi stated that more than 2,000 measles cases have been reported across Sindh this year, while 96 children have died from measles nationwide. He added that the 53 children who died in Sindh succumbed to complications caused by measles.

‎According to doctors, one of the main reasons behind the spread of measles in the province is the failure to vaccinate children. Measles is a treatable and preventable disease; however, due to a lack of precautionary measures, it is spreading rapidly. Health experts have urged parents to ensure that their children receive vaccinations to protect them from this dangerous disease.

‎It is worth mentioning that measles is a contagious infectious disease that primarily affects children. Its early symptoms include cold, flu like symptoms, cough, and skin rashes. As the disease progresses, it can severely weaken the immune system and, in some cases, prove fatal.
