A 15-year-old student was found dead at a local madrasa in Faisalabad on Tuesday, with police later identifying his own teacher as the primary suspect in a cold-blooded murder plot.
The victim, identified as Muhammad Ahmad, was discovered in his dormitory with fatal injuries. Investigators say the teacher—who had been responsible for the boy’s religious instruction—confessed to orchestrating the attack during preliminary questioning.
Police officials described the motive as a personal vendetta, though they have yet to release specific details regarding what triggered the escalation. The suspect allegedly lured the boy into a secluded area of the seminary before carrying out the assault.
“We are looking at a clear case of premeditated violence,” said a senior police officer familiar with the investigation. “The suspect thought he could hide the act by staging the scene, but the evidence gathered from the dormitory tells a different story.”
The tragedy has sent shockwaves through the local community, sparking immediate protests outside the madrasa. Parents of other students gathered at the gates Wednesday morning, demanding a full audit of the facility’s staff and stricter oversight of boarding institutions in the district.
Education and religious authorities have stayed largely silent as the investigation continues. However, the local administration has sealed the seminary, citing the need to preserve the crime scene and ensure the safety of remaining students while questioning continues.
The suspect remains in police custody. Authorities expect to file formal charges once the forensic report confirms the exact cause of death and physical evidence links the teacher directly to the weapon used in the attack.
Ahmad’s family is now preparing for his funeral, left to reconcile how a place meant for spiritual guidance became the site of his death.
