Patients at the diabetes clinic of Lahore General Hospital are facing serious difficulties due to the unavailability of blood glucose testing strips.
According to sources, blood glucose testing strips have not been available at the diabetes clinic for the past week, affecting more than 200 patients who visit the facility daily. Patients said that the lack of routine check-ups and testing is creating difficulties in the continuation of their treatment.
According to the clinic administration, the shortage is disrupting the screening and regular monitoring of patients, causing additional problems for individuals suffering from diabetes.
Patients and their family members have urged the relevant authorities to ensure the immediate provision of blood glucose testing strips so that treatment services can continue as normal.
