Khuzdar – A devastating terrorist attack on a school bus near Zero Point on the National Highway in Khuzdar, Balochistan, has left five people dead — including three innocent children and two teachers — and injured at least 38 others, most of whom are school students.
The horrifying blast, which completely destroyed the school bus, has drawn national and international condemnation. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the injured were swiftly shifted to CMH Khuzdar for immediate medical assistance.
Reacting strongly to the tragedy, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker issued a powerful statement on Wednesday, calling the killing of children “brutal and unconscionable.”
“Such acts are beyond comprehension. Our thoughts are with the victims and those recovering. No child should ever live in fear of going to school,” Baker said.
She further reiterated the United States’ support for those in Pakistan who are working to end such acts of violence and terror.
The attack has sent shockwaves across the country, reigniting concerns about the safety of children and educational institutions in conflict-prone areas. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to trace the perpetrators.
