LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced the opening of applications for the next phase of the CM Punjab Honhaar Scholarship Programme, inviting eligible students to apply for financial support for higher education.
In a message posted on X on Monday, the chief minister said the initiative had supported 160,000 talented students and offered educational opportunities across 70 disciplines aligned with future career prospects.
Maryam Nawaz said the programme was designed to reduce financial barriers to education and help young people pursue their academic ambitions. Encouraging students to apply, she urged them to remain focused on their studies and not allow financial or personal difficulties to prevent them from achieving their goals.
“Your talent deserves opportunity, your hard work deserves recognition, and your ambitions deserve the chance to flourish,” she said.
The scholarship provides full tuition fee coverage for selected students who meet the programme’s eligibility requirements. Applicants should review the criteria for their institution and degree programme before submitting an application. According to a notice issued by Virtual University of Pakistan, applications for the 2026 cycle must be submitted by November 9, 2026.
Students can review the eligibility requirements and apply through the official Honhaar Scholarship portal.
