Arizona, USA: Pursuing a career as a social media influencer is becoming an academic pathway, with Arizona State University (ASU) launching a Bachelor of Arts in Content Creation. The program is designed to prepare students for careers in the rapidly expanding creator economy by combining storytelling, digital media production, branding, and business strategy.

The degree, offered through ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, will teach students how to create content across platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, podcasts, and emerging digital media. Coursework includes video production, audience analytics, social media strategy, entrepreneurship, and personal brand development.

One of the program’s standout features is its practical approach. Students will be expected to build an online audience, develop a professional content portfolio, and demonstrate measurable growth in engagement before graduating. The curriculum also covers ethical content creation, digital marketing, and monetisation strategies to prepare graduates for careers as influencers, content creators, brand strategists, or digital media professionals.

The launch reflects the growing recognition of the creator economy as a legitimate career field. Universities around the world have increasingly introduced courses focused on content creation and influencer marketing, but ASU’s new program is among the first full bachelor’s degrees dedicated specifically to preparing students for careers as professional content creators and influencers.

The Punjab government has announced an innovative “Libraries on Wheels” project for government schools in Lahore, aiming to promote reading habits and improve access to educational resources among students. The initiative is designed to bring books and digital learning tools directly to schools, particularly benefiting students who have limited access to library facilities. According to official details, the project is estimated to cost Rs198 million and will introduce a modern mobile library system across government schools in the provincial capital. Under the plan, 85 electric vehicles will be purchased and converted into mobile libraries. These vehicles will travel to schools carrying educational materials and digital resources for students. Each mobile library will be equipped with 20 modern tablets, enabling students to access digital learning content, educational applications, and online study materials. Education officials believe that combining traditional books with technology will create a more engaging learning environment and help students develop stronger reading and research skills. The initiative reflects the Punjab government's broader efforts to modernize the education sector and encourage a culture of reading among young learners. Authorities expect the project to enhance educational opportunities, support classroom learning, and provide students with greater exposure to both printed and digital knowledge resources.
