ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has approved a substantial increase in transport monetization allowances for judicial officers and court officials in Grades 17 to 22.
According to an official notification issued by the Registrar of the Islamabad High Court, the revised allowances were approved on the instructions of Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar.
The new rates will come into effect from July 1, 2026. Under the revised structure, Grade 22 officers will receive a monthly transport monetization allowance of Rs250,000, while Grade 21 officers will be entitled to Rs195,000.
Grade 20 officers will receive Rs175,000 per month, followed by Rs150,000 for Grade 19 officials. Meanwhile, the allowance for Grade 18 officers has been set at Rs100,000, while Grade 17 officers will receive Rs60,000 per month.
The notification states that the additional financial burden resulting from the revised allowances will be covered from the budgets allocated to the Islamabad High Court and the Islamabad District Judiciary for the 2026–27 financial year.
The increase is aimed at revising transport-related benefits for judicial officers and court officials in line with the newly approved rates.
