ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has postponed this year’s Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) by more than a month, moving the examination from August 16 to September 20.
The council announced the change on Thursday, saying the decision had been taken on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to the PM&DC, the revised date has been set to ensure the examination is conducted in a smooth, secure and transparent manner while also facilitating candidates.
The council clarified that all other examination terms, conditions and arrangements will remain unchanged unless a further notification is issued.
Candidates have been advised to regularly check the official PM&DC website and its authorised communication channels for any further announcements, instructions or updates regarding the examination.
The MDCAT is a key admission test for students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges across Pakistan.
