The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department has announced new school timings for government schools across the province, introducing revised schedules for both summer and winter sessions. The updated timings apply to single-shift and double-shift primary, elementary, secondary, and higher secondary schools.
Under the new schedule, single-shift primary schools will operate from 8:00am to 2:30pm from Monday to Thursday, while Friday classes will end at 1:00pm. Double-shift schools and higher-level institutions will also follow revised timings, with separate schedules for first and second shifts.
The revised timings will remain in effect from August 6 to October 31, after which schools will switch to the notified winter schedule from November 1 to March 31. The changes are aimed at ensuring better academic management and accommodating seasonal conditions.
Education authorities have directed all government schools to strictly implement the new timetable and ensure smooth academic operations in accordance with the updated notification.
