On October 22, the index closed at 163,924.31 points, losing 2,006.67 points, or 1.21 percent, compared with the previous close.

Market data showed widespread declines, with 262 stocks closing lower, while only 80 advanced. Banking, oil and gas, and technology shares were among the sectors facing pressure.

Rising international oil prices, geopolitical tensions, and uncertainty over the economic outlook have contributed to cautious investor sentiment.

Investors are now watching global developments and upcoming corporate earnings for signs of the market’s next direction. However, further movements will depend on economic conditions and investor confidence.
